So I work part time as a Disney Princess for children's birthday parties, and we had to take some pictures of the outfits they gave us to post on the website! So I did this fun little photoshoot today
If you're in Austin and feel like hiring me for a party, you can go to happilyeverparties.webs.com/ !! All ages allowed ;D I can sing, dance, and even face paint!
Anyway, Belle is one of my favorite princesses (Ariel is up there too!) and I love lighting up children's faces in this outfit!!
Check out the other pictures in this series
who made the costume I LOVE IT!
just beautiful !
very nice! I am planning on making a Belle dress for next year This is very nice. Did you make it?
Ooh very exciting!! I wish I could make a ballgown D: They send us ours for gigs!
oh that's awesome! How do you sign up for something like that?
There was a casting call that I stumbled upon and I submitted!
You look great! I think that's definitely one of the better Belle dresses I've seen. I do birthday parties and public events as Captain Hook, it's so much fun!
Ah, that's awesome!! Do you usually get hired along with Peter or do you ever get booked by yourself as Hook?
And yeah, I was lucky to get one of the more legit looking ones... haha
Usually I get hired either solo or with a Jack Sparrow. I'd LOVE to find a Sharkey and Bones (I have a friend that'd be perfect as Bones).
Most of the Belle dresses I've seen look WAY too big, which looks fine in the cartoon, but in real life looks weird. This one has a nice volume to it without being too much. I also like the gloves too, that's different, but it works really well!
I wouldn't think kids would want a Disney villain at their birthdays!! They must be very brave
The gloves have to be like that since we're so hands-on with the kiddos. Otherwise they would get gross after one party! Also, many people hire us for face painting, with we need our hands for
haha, I would have thought that too, but pirates are a big thing lately and kids LOVE Captain Hook. I've had kids who are deathly afraid of me, and kids who run towards me give me a hug and tell me I'm their favourite pirate. You see all ranges of the spectrum, haha. I've never done facepainting at a party before, but I have done it at work (I work on a show boat), and there have been a few times I was there as Hook and kids wanted me to give them tattoos. I've gotten pretty good at it, considering I needed to use my left hand. Yeah, I know what fun and adventure awaits for facepainting, haha. In our town we actually used to have a party room and they had a bunch of characters you could hire, mostly princesses, but they asked me to come down a few times too because they had someone with a pirate party or pirate and fairy party. It's a lot of fun though, I like doing it when I can.
Well, I'm afraid I haven't been in good ol' Texas for a while, but you certainly look the part and I'm sure the kids are thrilled!
